Your Responsibilities

  • Prepares and consolidates all documents required for the smooth international procurement of products in due time and forwards these to internal and external business partners (e.g. IB Range Tool, tenders, supplier contracts, Forex, Sievo cost price prediction).
  • Reviews and records changes made to contracts in the relevant documents and systems.
  • Organises and independently manages the sample room containing the products within their area of responsibility.
  • Prepares product samples and documents for presentation to the responsible Buying Manager International Buying (BMIB) / Director International Buying (DIB) / Group Director International Buying (GDIB) in order to support their buying decision.
  • Reviews the development of the national Buying areas with regard to overlaps and potential new products and advises the responsible Buying Manager International Buying (BMIB) / Director International Buying (DIB) concerning the selection and transfer of national products into the responsibility of the International Buying department.
  • Prepares in cooperation with the Design Team international new product proposals for presentation to the National Buying departments.
  • Supports the Buying Manager International Buying (BMIB) / Director International Buying (DIB) in conducting market and competitor analyses.
  • Proposes new products, variants and designs to the direct superior.
  • Participates in sampling sessions as required.
  • Closely cooperates with other departments (e.g. CRI, Logistics, QA) in order to clarify irregularities and, if required, escalates specific cases (regarding SMP, logistics and quality-related requirements) to the responsible Buying Manager International Buying (BMIB) / Director International Buying (DIB).
  • Monitors and coordinates all deadlines agreed with internal and external business partners.
  • Requests price updates and forwards these to the Buying Manager International Buying (BMIB) / Director International Buying (DIB).
  • Prepares and participates in supplier meetings upon request.
  • Prepares, maintains and updates the IB Range Tool, timeline, tender schedule and product portfolios (if relevant) for their product area as well as the lists which serve as the basis for various evaluations (POS/Case mix reports and CPV Tracking Tool).
  • Commissions in-house testing of product samples and informs the Buying Manager International Buying (BMIB) / Director International Buying (DIB) of the results.
  • Commissions in-house sampling sessions.
  • Coordinates supplier changes/the inclusion of new suppliers.
  • Maintains international item master data in the ALDI system landscape under consideration of the given timelines.

Your Requirements

  • At least (Non-Degree) Tertiary education required.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ relevant working experience, preferably gained in sourcing/buying offices, working with consumer products.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, team player.
  • Good command of both verbal and written business English and fluency in Mandarin essential.
  • Able to work independently, self-motivated, responsible, well-organized and willing to learn.
  • Attention to detail and good organizing, coordination and planning skills.
  • General knowledge of MS office and Exchange essential.
  • High level of maturity, integrity, trustworthiness.
